Cooking for one or two

One dinner, two appetites

Cook one base. Add starch for the person training. Keep sauce and salt on the side.

Two menus is how a household stops cooking. One pot, two plates.

The person who trained gets more rice, a second egg, or a larger piece of the chicken. The person who wants a smaller dinner stops sooner and fills the plate with vegetables. Hot sauce, extra salt, and crunchy toppings stay off the shared food.

Cooking for two different appetites is the longer version. It works for a parent and a teenager as well as it works for a training partner. One dinner for mixed ages is the same idea with kids in the room.
