High-protein meal prep

A grocery run for high-protein meal prep

What to put in the cart for a week of protein-forward meals, and what to leave in the aisle.

Shop from three recipes, not from a mood. A workable cart is chicken thighs or ground turkey, eggs, plain Greek yogurt, fruit, a sturdy vegetable, rice or potatoes, lemons, and a no-salt can of beans or tomatoes if a stew is on the list.

Skip the protein bars until the real food is in the cart. Skip the seasoning packet if you own chili powder. The grocery list page has the order of operations, and the aisle sheet is what you print.

If the week is tight on money, budget protein is the companion. Price per pound of food you will eat beats a sale on something that will freeze and be forgotten.
